Local organizers are planning an event that they hope will put Cleveland on the Social Media map by showcasing the city’s innovative people.
The Social Media party will take place 5-8 p.m. June 30 at RJ Boland’s, 724 Prospect Ave.
The event is just one of hundreds of parties that will take place that day, which has been billed Social Media Day. CNN Blogger and Mashable Founder Pete Cashmore has helped administer more than 500 parties across the globe with 5,000 confirmed participants thus far to honor the Social Media revolution.
The parties are designed to make people think about Social Media has transformed the way we communicate, the ways we connect with one another, consume our news, conduct our work, organize our lives and more.
Alpacas are considered to be the most social animal, and therefore the animal is the event mascot.
