Cleveland company takes LeBron “nailbiter” to the next level

A local company has found a way to merchandise the LeBron Watch hype.

Since the end of this year’s NBA season, Clevelanders and the sports community have been speculating on the outcome of LeBron James’ free agency this summer.  Nobody knows what he will do, and the city, longing for a national championship, nervously awaits—it’s a real “nailbiter.”

As a result, All Things Eventful has come up with a nine-piece manicure kit in a case complete with the “2010 Free Agency Nailbiter” logo.  The kit will be available for purchase by the general public in limited supply.

Interested fans can Bountiful Baskets, Inc., the parent company of All Things Eventful, to get their piece of local history. The company can be reached at (216) 551.3358, or www.DBsBountifulBaskets.com.

An alpaca walks into a bar … for Social Media Day

Local organizers are planning an event that they hope will put Cleveland on the Social Media map by showcasing the city’s innovative people.

The Social Media party will take place 5-8 p.m. June 30 at RJ Boland’s, 724 Prospect Ave.

The event is just one of hundreds of parties that will take place that day, which has been billed Social Media Day. CNN Blogger and Mashable Founder Pete Cashmore has helped administer more than 500 parties across the globe with 5,000 confirmed participants thus far to honor the Social Media revolution.

The parties are designed to make people think about Social Media has transformed the way we communicate, the ways we connect with one another, consume our news, conduct our work, organize our lives and more.

Alpacas are considered to be the most social animal, and therefore the animal is the event mascot.
