Parma Teenager Dives to His Death | Weird

Mercan Lyncook, 18, resident of Parma, tragically drowned in the Yellow River in Knox Norfolk, Indiana. The teen jumped into the river from an abandoned railroad bridge, located near the Knox Norfolk and Southern Depot. Police estimate that the drowning occurred at approximately midnight on Sunday June 26.
Lyncook was with friends at the time of accident, they phoned Knox Police Department and Indiana Conservation Office to report that Lyncook never resurfaced after he plunged into the river. His body was found by the Marshall County Dive Team around 2AM.
According to Lyncook’s friends and family, he did not have strong swimming skills. His weak swimming skills mixed with swift current of the Yellow River led to Lyncook’s eventual death.
