Madame Tussauds New York releases list of most kissable wax figures | Sports & Recreation

While each and every wax figure at Madame Tussauds New York is prepared daily by studio artists, some require a little more makeup remover than others before they can be embraced by Times Square visitors.  The attraction’s newest addition, Denzel Washington may make the jobs of the studio artists even more difficult, as he is rumored to join the list of wax figures that visitors will most likely want to smooch this Valentine’s Day.

“Lately it seems that Robert Pattinson, Johnny Depp and Justin Bieber have more shades of lipstick on their faces than many women have in their makeup bag,” said studio artist for Madame Tussauds New York, Morfy Gikas.  “I can only imagine the number of visitors that would like Denzel Washington to be their Valentine this year.”

The team of Madame Tussauds artists had to take more than 250 precise measurements and photographs of Denzel — capturing him from every angle and worked over three months to ensure the figure fully captured his unique style, exact eye color, build and overall allure.

Madame Tussauds New York is located in the heart of Times Square and is open 365 days a year.
