Cleveland father pleads not guilty in death of his daughter | News
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- A Cleveland man indicted for the murder of his infant daughter plead not guilty in front of a judge Monday morning.
Cuyahoga County Prosecutors have charged Michael Beard with murder, felony assault and child endangering.
Last May, Beard took five-month-old Lynniah Beard to Lakewood Hospital unconscious. She ended up on life support at the Cleveland Clinic, and died weeks later.
Records show the little girl died from asphyxia. At the time, Beard told 19 Action News, "Ain't no abuse with this child. Just pray for my daughter."
His bond was set at $50,000.
