CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- An agreement has been reached on a plan to reform Cleveland Schools.
State and local leaders will hold a press conference later this afternoon to announce details of the agreement.
This, after Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson announced on Wednesday that Ohio's House and Senate are expected to vote on the legislature needed to move his education plan forward.
Jackson did attend the Thursday hearing in Columbus. At least four state senators were behind the legislation to give the Mayor clearance he needs to revamp the Cleveland school district.
Mayor Jackson's education plan will provide long-term financial stability for the district through a new operating structure and the ability to pass a new operating levy.
