Casino police patrols bust ATM skimmer | News
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- Cleveland Police have arrested one person after using skimmed bank account data at an ATM in Cleveland's Theatre District.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 19 Action News that the suspect used a skimming machine at a Toledo bank to copy bank account data. Next, he created fake bank cards and used them at the ATM machine located at Euclid Avenue and E.14th Street in downtown Cleveland.
Cleveland police received the call at 7 a.m. Thursday morning, but no zone cars available so Cleveland Police security at the new Horseshoe Casino went over and arrested the male, who was caught in the act.
The suspect is from Bulgaria and is currently being held at the Bedford Heights Jail by Immigration Services.
The case was turned over to the Secret Service.
