CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- New charges have been filed against a teen for kidnapping a four year old, sparking a manhunt.
19 year old Isaiah Taylor has been indicted for kidnapping and abduction. Cleveland police say last month he walked away with Raevon L. Bryant-Ruffin from the home where he'd been staying.
Records show during the search the mother texted Taylor asking about the boy and he denied the child was with him.
This, after an Amber Alert was issued for Bryant-Ruffin. The little boy was last seen by his mother around 7:30PM March 26th at their home on West 95th Street. The mother said her son went outside to play with other children. The other kids came in around 9PM, but not Raevon.
Little Raevon was found the very next day with 19-year-old Isaiah Taylor in the area of Eddy Road and Hayden Avenue in East Cleveland around 8:30AM.
Astute citizen Jocelyn Harris observed Raevon and Taylor and notified East Cleveland Police after seeing the Amber Alert on 19 Action News.
"I was afraid for this little boy, you know?" Harris said. "At first, I wasn't going to call (911). But then I said, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong but at least I gotta try. And I did."
The child was conveyed to Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital for evaluation and Taylor was arrested for Kidnapping.
Taylor is a known acquaintance of the family and has abducted another four-year-old in the past.
