Bedford man among those indicted for owing thousands in back child support | Crime

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason announced that fifteen defendants were indicted for failure to pay child support. These fifteen defendants owe a combined $410,404.55 in child support. The charge of criminal non-support is a fifth degree felony which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. These indictments are a result of a joint investigative effort by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.

1. Larry Klayman, 60, of Los Angeles, California, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $78,861.76 for his two children ages 11 and 14. Two hearings were held in Domestic Relations Court between 2009 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on August 30, 2011, in the amount of $1,014.26. Arraignment is scheduled for February 7, 2012.
2. James Morris, 45, of Bedford, was indicted on six (6) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $66,557.75 for his three children ages 12, 14, and 17. Three hearings were held in Domestic Relations Court between 2004 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on September 20, 2010, in the amount of $2,500.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 7, 2012.
3. Ricky Turney, 39, of Warrensville Heights, was indicted on four (4) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $48,506.39 for his two children ages 7 and 13. One hearing was held in Juvenile Court during 2006. The last voluntary payment was made on June 3, 2009, in the amount of $195.03. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
4. Matthew Leon, 40, of Middleburg Heights, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $20,611.61 for his two children ages 12 and 20. Three hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2001 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on January 3, 2011, in the amount of $600.00.

In a separate case, Leon was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $15,915.26 for his 16-year-old child. No hearings were held in Juvenile Court on this case. The last voluntary payment was made on January 10, 2008, in the amount of $60.72. Arraignment for both cases is scheduled for February 7, 2012.

5. Michael Wyzykowski, 40, of Cleveland, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $35,321.39 for his two children ages 18 and 20. Five hearings were held in Domestic Relations Court between 1996 and 2006. The last voluntary payment was made on February 23, 2009, in the amount of $20.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
6. Ervin Brooks, 43, of Cleveland, was indicted on four (4) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $26,632.08 for his two children ages 17 and 19. One hearing was held in Juvenile Court in 2006. The last voluntary payment was made on May 18, 2007, in the amount of $28.25. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
7. Jamie Marsh, 47, of Cleveland, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $22,985.75 for his three children ages 12, 14, and 17. Three hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2005 and 2011. The last voluntary payment was made on August 11, 2011, in the amount of $250.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
8. Keith Bernes, Sr., 40, of Westlake, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $19,559.96 for his two children ages 11 and 17. One hearing was held in Domestic Relations Court during 2009. The last voluntary payment was made on February 23, 2009, in the amount of $20.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 7, 2012.
9. Rembert Jordan, 34, of Columbus, was indicted on five (5) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $16,922.74 for his three children ages 13, 14, and 15. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2010 and 2011. The last voluntary payment was made on December 14, 2011, in the amount of $25.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 7, 2012.
10. Rafael Jones, 33, of Cleveland, was indicted on one (1) count of criminal non-support. He owes $11,368.09 for his 10-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2009 and 2010. No payments have ever been made on this case. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
11. Donell Brown, 39, of Cleveland, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $10,970.19 for his 13-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court in 2003. The last voluntary payment was made on September 8, 2011, in the amount of $25.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
12. Neftalez Gonzalez, Jr., 23, of Cleveland, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $10,621.12 for his 5-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2009 and 2011. The last voluntary payment was made on February 22, 2011, in the amount of $15.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
13. William Hunt, 39, of Cleveland, was indicted on three (3) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $8,685.47 for his 15-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2002 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on March 2, 2011, in the amount of $160.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
14. Allen Davis, 34, of Cleveland, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $8,599.67 for his 14-year-old child. Three hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 1998 and 2009. The last voluntary payment was made on August 24, 2010, in the amount of $39.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 8, 2012.
15. Matthew Ashby, 30, of Twinsburg, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $8,285.32 for his 8-year-old child. Four hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2004 and 2005. The last voluntary payment was made on December 9, 2009, in the amount of $2,300.00. Arraignment is scheduled for February 7, 2012.
