CLEVELAND, OH - Is your New Year’s resolution to take better care of your teeth? If so, you can get a start on it Saturday, Jan. 12 by visiting Cass Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine for a free dental exam, x-rays, cleaning and oral cancer screening.
Visit the Case Western Reserve dental clinic for free dental exams, which include X-rays and oral cleanings, between 9-11 a.m. The clinic is at 2123 Emergency Drive (Cornell Road and Emergency Drive). All you need to do is call 216.368.0214 to let the dental school know you are coming. If you are unable to call, walk-ins on Saturday are also welcome.
Patients must be 18 years or older and cannot be a current patient or have full dentures.
Students from the dental school’s student council organize the day of service, known as “Prophy Day,” says council President Adam Kaiser. Volunteer dental faculty and student dentists provide the free services.
Depending on the type of dental care needed, patients with certain dental needs may qualify for additional free or extensively reduced services. Any participant, who wants to become a regular dental school patient, will receive a $10 voucher to help defray the admitting cost during a follow-up visit to the clinic.
Faculty will oversee the students as they perform exams.
For information, 216.368.0214 weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Visit dental.case.edu for details.
