Rock Hall Announces Additional Show for Induction 2012 Events

Rock Hall Announces Additional Show for Induction 2012 Events

CLEVELAND, OH - The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is excited to announce a new show as a part of the 2012 Induction Week of Events.  Duck brand duct tape presents Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Bootsy Collins and the Funk Unity Band at the Beachland Ballroom on Friday, April 6. Doors are at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m.

Parliament Funkadelic bassist William “Bootsy” Collins is known for his star-shaped sunglasses, glittery “space bass” and charismatic demeanor and has become a funk icon and solo star in his own right. For a new concert tour, Collins has assembled P-Funk alumni Bernie Worrell, Frankie Kash Waddy and Blackbyrd McKnight as well as Razor Sharp Johnson and T.M. Stevens to form the Funk Unity Band for the 2012 Funk Unity Tour in support of his new album, Tha Funk Capitol Of The World.

Duck brand duct tape is thrilled to sponsor a performance by Bootsy Collins during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Week.  This sponsorship links the Cleveland landmark’s biggest annual event with ShurTech Brands -- the maker of Duck brand duct tape and a company that also calls the Cleveland-area home.
Collins and his wife, Patti, have publicly shown their love for Duck Tape -- especially when they surprised an audience with outfits made of Duck brand duct tape at an event at the famous Apollo Theater in New York City last year.  Duck brand is proud to partner with Bootsy Collins on not only a night of great funk, but in a great showing of the creativity that comes from Cleveland, the home of rock and roll.

Tickets are $35 and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14 at http://www.beachlandballroom.com/ or by calling (216) 383-1124.
A limited number of VIP tickets to "Hang with Bootsy" before the show are available for $125.
