CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Case Western Reserve University's School of Dental Medicine hopes to give you a healthy smile-and it's free.
Visit the Case Western Reserve University dental clinic for a free dental exam, x-rays and teeth cleaning on Saturday, January 22. Volunteer dental faculty and student dentists will provide a day of service during Prophy Day in the dental school clinic, at Cornell Road and Emergency Drive (University Hospitals of Cleveland) in University Circle. No appointment is needed for the first-come, first-served exams from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Walk-in patients must be 18 years or older, not a current patient or someone with full dentures.
The dental exam includes x-rays and cleanings during the volunteer service day, which is organized by the students from the dental school's Student Council.
Depending on the type of dental care needed, some patients may qualify for additional free or extensively reduced services.
Faculty will oversee the dental students as they perform the cleanings, x-rays and exams.
While patients wait for their exams, the dental school will provide movies in warm, indoor waiting areas.
For information, call 216-368-0214 or 216-368-0746 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. If the line is busy, the dental school asks that you call back instead of leaving a message. Also visit <http://dental.case.edu> for details.
