Music therapy for premature babies

Specific elements of music have therapeutic qualities that may be beneficial to a growing premature infant. Recorded music has a fixed meter and decibel level, which cannot be adapted to meet the needs of a compromised infant the way live music can.

Rain, storms for Tuesday

An approaching front will bring rain and storms later this morning. Expect heavy downpours, lightning and gusty winds. Later this afternoon a few showers will linger before we dry things out overnight. Wednesday will be cooler with the wind coming off of the lake. Out ahead of the next front temperatures will soar into the 80s on Thursday.

SWCD scholarships for Forestry Camp

The Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is looking for five (5) high school students, with an avid interest in the natural sciences, especially earth science, biology, botany, and environmental studies, who would like to spend a week at the fun and educational Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp from June 9-14, 2013.
